Ask for the allowance for your actual flight
Do not carry a baggage allowance across from a different route, fare or aircraft. Harbour Air publishes baggage information separately, and its charter guidance explains that fuel requirements and distance can affect the weight available for passengers and bags. Request the allowance that applies to your proposed journey.
Describe the awkward items early
Photography cases, skis, tools and mobility aids need more context than “one bag”. Give the operator dimensions, weight and a plain description. Ask whether the item can be carried, how it should be packed and whether it changes the proposed aircraft or the number of movements.
Plan for the arrival environment
Ask the destination host what clothing and footwear are appropriate. For its sightseeing trips, Blackcomb recommends suitable footwear and layers, including for alpine conditions in summer. Treat that as a reason to check the specific itinerary, rather than a universal packing list.
Discuss boarding before departure day
If a passenger needs assistance, describe the practical requirement in advance and ask the operator what can be accommodated. Keep essential items and any cabin-access questions in the conversation. The crew’s briefing and instructions govern boarding and the flight itself.
TAKE IT WITH YOU
Send a baggage list with dimensions before the aircraft arrangement is finalised.
